AAPA Calls for Contributions to Second Precision Agriculture Newsletter

The African Association for Precision Agriculture (AAPA) has officially opened a call for contributions to the second edition of its 2025 newsletter. This invitation is aimed at researchers, students, and professionals who are working on precision agriculture across Africa and beyond.

In a statement released by AAPA, the association noted, “We are inviting researchers, students, and professionals to share their insights, success stories, and innovations for the upcoming edition of our newsletter.” The newsletter serves as a platform to promote sustainable agricultural development by sharing knowledge, research breakthroughs, and local success stories in precision agriculture.

Contributors can submit articles highlighting research, project updates, opinion pieces, or real-life stories that showcase how precision agriculture is improving farming practices in African communities. The association believes that these submissions will foster collaboration, build local capacity, and amplify Africa’s presence in the global precision agriculture community.

AAPA added that the call is open to both African and non-African contributors. Submissions must be written in either English or French and sent to aapa@paafrica.org by August 10, 2025. Each entry must not exceed 250 words and should include a photo showing precision agriculture in action.

All selected contributors will receive a certificate of recognition from AAPA. The organization emphasized, “Your input will help promote collaboration, build capacity, and strengthen the voice of Africa in the global PA community.”

This opportunity is part of AAPA’s broader goal to enhance agricultural productivity, encourage innovation, and support climate-smart practices across the continent. With growing interest in digital farming tools and sustainable techniques, precision agriculture offers a path forward for many African farmers.
