Bauchi State is set to host a major free digital skills and entrepreneurship training for young people, aimed at preparing them for opportunities in the global economy. The Office of the Special Adviser to the Governor on Youth and Entrepreneurship, in partnership with American Space Bauchi and supported by the United States Diplomatic Mission in Nigeria, announced that the 8-week program will train 200 unemployed graduates and early-stage entrepreneurs across the state.
The initiative, titled “Reinventing Yourself with the Right Entrepreneurship Mindsets, Skills, and Tools in a Digital Economy,” will begin on August 12 and run every Tuesday until September 30, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the American Space, Prof. Iya Abubakar Community Resource Centre, Bauchi. Special mentorship classes will also take place during the week, led by seasoned entrepreneurship experts.
“This is a life-changing opportunity for young people in Bauchi to acquire job-ready skills, connect with industry mentors, and position themselves for success in the digital economy,” the Office of the Special Adviser stated. “We are looking forward to building a new generation of job creators and global entrepreneurs.”
The target audience is 200 male and female unemployed graduates and aspiring entrepreneurs. The program is completely free and will cover the following modules:
a. Entrepreneurship in the Digital Age
b. Personal Branding and Online Identity
c. Cybersecurity & Digital Responsibility
d. Lifelong Learning & Reinvention
e. Digital Economy Tools & Strategy
According to the organisers, participants will benefit from:
i. Certification from the U.S Embassy
ii. Endorsement Certificate from the Office of the Adviser
iii. Expert Mentorship
iv. Job-Ready Skill
v. Two prestigious certificates upon completion – from the US Diplomatic Mission and the Office of the Special Adviser on Youth and Entrepreneurship
Eligibility criteria include:

iv. Participants must have 80% Attendance
The program will officially start on August 12 and run until September 30, 2025. The venue is the American Space, Prof. Iya Abubakar Community Resource Centre, Bauchi.
