Celtic Soccer Academy Singapore Opens Recruitment for 2025 Youth League

Celtic Soccer Academy Singapore has announced that it is currently recruiting young players as part of its youth development programme and preparations for competitive football participation in Singapore.

The academy, which operates in partnership with Celtic FC through its international academy network, is open to boys and girls, commonly referred to as “Bhoys” and “Ghirls,” between the ages of 2 and 12. The programme is delivered locally by Get GungHo FC, which manages training, coaching, and league participation.

According to information released by the academy, recruitment is currently focused on forming squads for the 2025 Singapore Youth League season. Trials are open to players born between 2013 and 2017, with a stated squad registration deadline of December 10. Successful players may be selected to represent the academy in official youth competitions.

Training sessions and development programmes are held across several locations in Singapore, including Bishan-AMK, Kallang, Kovan, West Coast, and Yishun. These sessions are designed to provide structured football education, covering technical skills, teamwork, and age-appropriate physical development.

The academy also confirmed its participation in the Singapore Youth League, which operates under the framework of the Football Association of Singapore. Participation in the league allows selected players to gain competitive match experience while remaining within a regulated youth football system.

Celtic Soccer Academy Singapore stated that it operates as an accredited academy, offering both male and female coaching staff. The programme emphasises positive coaching, player welfare, and long-term development rather than short-term results. Feedback and guidance are provided to players and parents throughout the season to support growth on and off the pitch.

In addition to player recruitment, the academy also highlighted its role in coach education and community football development. As part of Celtic FC’s international partner programme, the academy follows training methodologies aligned with the club’s established youth development philosophy.

The recruitment announcement confirms that Celtic Soccer Academy Singapore is actively seeking young players to join its training programmes and competitive squads ahead of upcoming youth league fixtures. Interested families are encouraged to engage directly with the academy for trial and registration details.
