Farm Junction Launches MBF Lagos Reality Event for Female Farmers

The Farm Junction Foundation has announced the launch of the Most Beautiful Farmer (MBF) Lagos reality event, aimed at showcasing the creativity, innovation, and dedication of female farmers in Nigeria’s agricultural sector. According to the organisers, the competition is designed to “empower farmers and agricultural enthusiasts to showcase their skills, creativity, and passion” through modern farming techniques, team challenges, and practical workshops.

Winners of the event will receive a brand new truck, seed funding, and farming tools to support their agricultural ventures. “This is a one-of-a-kind platform that not only celebrates farming but also inspires participants to push the boundaries of traditional practices,” the foundation stated.

Eligibility for MBF Lagos is as follows:
i. Must be a female farmer
ii. Aged 21 or older
iii. Actively involved in some aspect of agriculture—be it farming, agribusiness, agricultural initiatives, or even as a hobbyist
iv. Have a basic understanding of sustainable farming practices or are passionate about learning more
v. Creative, innovative, and eager to showcase their agricultural talents
vi. Committed to promoting agriculture as a viable career option and want to inspire others to join the industry
vii. Be able to demonstrate their involvement in agriculture
viii. Have strong communication and public speaking skills
ix. Exhibit creativity, innovation, and a desire to learn new farming techniques
x. Show passion for sustainable farming and environmental awareness
xi. Be physically fit and ready to participate in farm-based activities

Shortlisted candidates will proceed to the next stage of the selection process.
