The Julius Berger Nigeria Scholarship Award 2025 is now open for applications. This opportunity targets young female undergraduates in engineering, environmental sciences, and technology fields across Nigerian public universities. The program, launched in 2023, has already supported 195 outstanding female students, and continues to push for gender equity in sectors where female perspectives are still underrepresented.

Julius Berger Nigeria Plc (JBN) is one of the most respected infrastructure and industrial development companies in the country. It provides a wide range of services such as planning, design, engineering, construction, operation, and maintenance of building and industrial projects. Through its corporate social responsibility, the company is contributing to the education sector by offering merit-based scholarships to qualified female students.

A spokesperson from JBN confirmed, “The company is awarding scholarships to qualified female engineering students in public universities across the country as part of its commitment to drive enhancement and capacity building within the Education and Human Capital Development sector.”

Applications must be submitted on or before August 21st, 2025. Shortlisted candidates will be informed of the exam date, which will be a computer-based test. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.

Julius Berger emphasized that the application process is entirely free. “Application for the JBN scholarship is FREE,” the statement reads. The company warns against fraudulent websites and unofficial agents. Email applications will not be accepted, and any candidate found presenting false documents will be disqualified.

The scholarship is open to full-time female students studying in any of the following disciplines in public universities:

i. Architecture, Building and Construction Engineering, Building Engineering, Building Technology, Cartography, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Project Management, Electrical Engineering, Land Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical and Material Engineering, Metallurgy Engineering, Production Engineering, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, and Structural Engineering.

Eligibility requirements include:

i. Be a citizen of Nigeria
ii. Be a female
iii. Be in a Federal or State-owned university based in Nigeria
iv. Be in the Faculty of Engineering /Environmental /Technology
v. Currently in their second year of full-time study in a Nigerian Federal or State University accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC)
vi. Have a minimum CGPA of 3.5 in a 5-grade system
vii. Applicant should have a valid personal email account and phone number.

Candidates should include personal and educational details in the application. They must also upload scanned copies of the following:

i. Recent passport-sized photograph of the applicant in JPEG format, not more than 200kilobytes;
ii. University or JAMB Admission Letter;
iii. Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) Result;
iv. O’ Level Result(s); and ‘A’ Level /OND /NCE Result(s) as applicable;
v. Academic results for 100-level

The application steps are as follows:

i. Click on the “Apply Now” tab.
ii. Click on “Register Now” to create an account.
iii. Proceed to your email inbox to activate your account
iv. Click on https://candidate.scholastica.ng/schemes/JBN2025 to return to the Scholarship site
v. Enter your registered email and password to upload your information.
vi. Enter your personal information, National Identification Number (if available), educational information, and other information, and upload the required scanned documents.
vii. Ensure the name used in applications matches the names on all documentation in the same order. Upload a sworn affidavit or certificate if otherwise.
viii. Ensure you view all documents after uploading, to ensure that they are clear and accurate.
ix. When asked to upload a photo, upload a passport photograph with a white background.
x. Recheck application information to avoid errors
xi. Click “Apply Now” to submit information
xii. A message will pop up that confirms your application was successful.
xiii. Return to the portal and enter your Email and Password to download your profile, and proceed to have your Head of Department sign the document.
xiv. Upload a scanned copy of the signed profile; this would be used for verification.
xv. If the National Identification Number (NIN) was not available in step 6, to obtain your National Identification Number (NIN)
Visit http://ninenrol.gov.ng to register and learn more about the National Identity Number
Click “Create Account” and fill in the required fields
Log in with Email and Password to complete the form
After completion, schedule a date for photo and fingerprint capture
Visit any of the 37 capture centers www.nimc.gov.ng/pages/general/enrolmentcentres.htm to complete the registration process and obtain your National Identity Number
You can also do your total registration at the NIMC office
xvi. Return to the portal
and update the application with a National Identification Number (NIN) to ensure completion

Applicants should note that submitting more than one application will lead to disqualification. According to JBN, “Multiple applications attract a disqualification penalty from the Scholarship Organization.”

Applications for the Julius Berger Female Scholarship Programme 2025 are currently open. Interested and eligible candidates are encouraged to apply before the August deadline.
