Nasarawa State to Empower 2,000 Citizens Through 9ja Food Fiesta 2025

The Nasarawa State Government has rolled out an empowerment drive under the 2025 9ja Food Fiesta, targeting 2,000 youths, women, and people living with disabilities. The scheme is designed to equip participants with hands-on knowledge that can drive employment and sustainable income.

Beneficiaries will be trained in four key areas:
a. Culinary Arts
b. Fashion Design
c. Agriculture (Fishery and Poultry)
d. ICT

In a statement, the organizers stressed the importance of investing in skills development. “This program is part of our plan to train 74,000 Nigerians across the country. Investing in human development is the best way to grow our economy. A hungry man is an angry man. An idle youth is a devil workshop and will be used as a pawn to perpetuate evil.”

They added that crime reduction is closely tied to skill acquisition. “The reason China’s economy keeps expanding is not only because of schools but because of their massive investment in children and youth development. Together, we can achieve the same or even better. Our training is 100% free.”

To qualify, applicants must meet the following:
i. Must reside in Nasarawa State
ii. Be able to dedicate 2 to 3 hours daily for this training

Registration is open online through https://9jafoodfiesta.com/event/nasarawa-state-empowerment-program-2025/ where interested candidates can fill out the application form.
