Nigeria Launches New Hospitality Training and Animation Hub to Empower Youth

In a major move to strengthen Nigeria’s creative and tourism sectors, the Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy has announced a new Hospitality Training Program under the Renewed Hope Agenda. This initiative aims to equip young Nigerians with high-level skills to deliver world-class service in the hospitality and tourism industry.

“Our creative and hospitality sectors are brimming with talent, potential, and opportunity,” the Ministry stated. “Under the Renewed Hope Agenda, we are taking bold steps to ensure our youth have the skills, resources, and platforms they need to excel on the global stage.”

The training program is expected to build a top-tier workforce that not only enhances Nigeria’s standing as a global travel destination but also creates employment opportunities for young people. With a well-trained hospitality workforce, Nigeria can ensure improved visitor experiences, drive repeat tourism, and strengthen its overall tourism infrastructure.

“Hospitality is at the heart of tourism,” the Ministry emphasized. “By training and empowering our youth, we are not only creating employment but also enabling more Nigerians to enter global-standard careers in hospitality and tourism.”

In addition to hospitality training, the Ministry is setting up a world-class Animation Hub to position Nigeria as a top location for global animation outsourcing. This project aims to attract international animation studios by offering the right incentives and government support. The hub will serve as a collaborative space for young Nigerian animators, investors, and industry professionals.

The Ministry stated, “We will partner with investors and industry experts to create a world-class animation hub where young Nigerian talent can share costs and resources, create synergies, and collaborate on ambitious projects.”

This move is seen as a direct investment in Nigeria’s creative economy, helping the country compete in high-value global sectors. “Whether through hospitality training or animation development, our mission is clear — to give Nigerian youth the skills, resources, and platforms they need to compete and succeed globally.”

The Renewed Hope Agenda continues to focus on long-term transformation by investing in people and turning Nigeria into a hub for tourism, animation, and creative excellence.
