Fate Foundation has officially opened the Call for Nominations for the 2025 FATE Model Entrepreneurship Advocate (FMEA) of the Year Award. The award is designed to recognize individuals and institutions whose work has significantly impacted Nigeria’s entrepreneurship landscape.
In a statement, the foundation noted that the award “honors outstanding efforts that have brought attention to key issues such as business sustainability, innovation and technology, policy development, job creation, social enterprise, and inspirational entrepreneurial stories.”
The initiative is targeted at journalists, both freelance and affiliated, media organizations across new and traditional platforms, advocacy groups, policy advocates, researchers, and academic institutions. All applicants are required to submit one original entry, which may take the form of a published article, a research paper, a podcast, a video feature, or a data-driven report.
Fate Foundation explained that the eligible entry must have been published or broadcast between September 2024 and August 2025. “Applicants must provide a direct and publicly accessible link to their submission,” the foundation said, adding that providing additional evidence of related work would be considered an advantage during selection.
Interested candidates can nominate themselves or others through the official application link at www.fatefoundation.org/awards. The deadline for submission is Tuesday, October 13, 2025.
The winner of the 2025 FMEA of the Year Award will be revealed at the foundation’s Annual Celebration and Awards Ceremony, which will take place on December 4, 2025.
