The Professor Isa Pantami Foundation has introduced its third edition of the TechFix Empowerment Program, targeting more than 10,000 young Nigerians with free training in artificial intelligence (AI) and phone repair.
According to the foundation, the initiative is part of its commitment to equipping young people with practical skills that support innovation, entrepreneurship, and vocational growth. Prof. Suleiman Mohammed, speaking on behalf of the foundation on Monday, said the programme is structured to prepare participants for new economic opportunities driven by the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
“AI and other emerging technologies are expected to create 170 million new jobs globally,” the statement noted, quoting data from the World Economic Forum. “We must ensure that our citizens are prepared to benefit from these opportunities.”
The foundation, established by Professor Isa Pantami, a former Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, explained that the training will be offered completely free to participants. The goal is to address unemployment challenges while building a generation of young Nigerians who can create businesses and job opportunities for others.
Applications opened on Monday, August 25, for residents of Gombe State and will close on Sunday, August 31, 2025. Dates for additional states will be communicated later, and applicants are advised to submit their forms online through the foundation’s official website.
Over the years, the PIP Foundation has supported Nigerians through scholarships for JAMB and university students, as well as community-focused projects. These efforts highlight its mission to promote education, digital skills, and economic empowerment nationwide.
